During this time of national crisis, Get Help Israel - The Israel Association of Mental Health Professionals established a program to assist the people in Israel who are affected emotionally and psychologically by the current war. The professionals who are providing therapeutic services have all been vetted, with post-graduate qualifications and experience in treating trauma, anxiety, sleep issues, and more.
INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT
Within 24 hours, you will be connected with a therapist to help you process the emotional effects of the current war. It%27s common to experience disruptions in your daily life during such times, like difficulty focusing and performing your regular tasks. You might also notice war-related symptoms such as sleep problems, nightmares, or increased anxiety. You can now receive one on one free support from a therapist for any issue related to the current war.
If you are returning from IDF service, you are eligible to receive subsidized trauma therapy through GHI%27s non-profit organization: The Get Help Israel Fund. Please email [email protected] to request this service.
Therapy is available in multiple languages, including English, Hebrew, Russian, French, Yiddish, Spanish, and Dutch.
This program is set up as a service that connects clients with therapists for free emotional support. Therapeutic services are offered by clinicians through their private practice.
If you are a mental health professional interested in volunteering, please do not email the email above as it is reserved for clients only. We currently do not need additional volunteers and will update this page if the need for additional volunteers arises.
