Get Help Israel -The Israel Association of Mental Health Professionals – serves a dual purpose. For clients who are seeking English-speaking mental health service providers, we are a trusted resource helping clients access the best services for their mental health needs. For English-speaking mental health professionals (including immigrant and veteran therapists alike) we provide a formal and friendly framework that seeks to advance professional development opportunities in English, and gives support and guidance in maintaining ethical, legal, and competent mental health services.
In addition to assisting English-speakers find the right help in their mother tongue, GHI consults with dozens of organizations, schools, and government offices to provide customized referrals for their individual needs. This includes over 50 Gap year programs, Aliyah organizations, and various embassies/consulates of English-speaking countries. The association is recognized and respected for its rigorous verification of the professionals' credentials in accordance with Israeli law. GHI is expanding its reach to mental health professionals and organizations around the world in becoming the go-to referral source for people moving to or living in Israel.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
We are dedicated to promoting mental health in Israel. We offer frequent workshops for professionals, give members access to resources, lists of certified supervisors as well as office rentals throughout Israel. Our annual networking event brings together professionals from all over the country, to gather information, meet each other and connect with relevant government offices and organizations.
